When I began training with Jason two years ago, I weighed over 250 pounds, and perpetually felt out of shape and lethargic; I was fearful that I was approaching that tipping point where fitness training would actually become dangerous for my heart. Since then, I've lost and, more importantly, kept off over 30 pounds, and feel stronger, quicker and more flexible. I attribute a good part of this to my experience training with Jason. From the outset, it was evident that Jason had a clear cut long term plan for my individual situation, rather than a cookie cutter approach to weight loss. He quickly found out about my background of competitive sports in high school, as well as weight training in college, and took these into account when developing his approach to my training regimen. This certainly went a long way towards expediting the process given the skill set I already had, rather than starting from scratch. Also, like snowflakes, I have yet to experience two identical sessions with Jason; every session is unique, but it quickly becomes evident what Jason is trying to achieve with that particular exercise, and he is more than happy to take the time explain the biomechanics if you are unsure. This goes a long way to maintaining the enjoyment level of fitness training, and avoids the monotony of repetitive training routines. Jason is a very driven individual, who not only takes pride in the progress of his clients, but also in his own personal development. What impressed me most about him was that he is never satisfied with his skill set, but is continuously striving to add new techniques to his training tool chest. I was astonished at all the courses he took and the research he does during his spare time even after reaching the highest accreditation level available for personal trainers in Canada. I would strongly recommend Jason as both a personal and group trainer based on my training experience. Marcus G |
